Hi, I’m Joey
I am a digital and physical artist from the Chicagoland area.
I have been drawing for 12 years and practicing graphic design for 10 years.
My work explores themes of love and death, blending elements of surrealism and abstraction of shapes to create visuals that are both vibrant and thought-provoking.
I began as a portrait artist in high school. Rendering life as we see it, I fell in love with creating.
I held hands with realism as I learned the shape and proportions of the human figure. My medium of choice was graphite pencil drawings, only occasionally experimenting with colored pencils, oil pastels, and alcohol markers.
After graduation, I got new hardware to produce digital art.
This propelled me into a deep love for art and the process of bringing ideas to life. I started out illustrating and minor design work with Procreate App. Nowadays, I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for both graphic design and illustration work.
The transition to digital reinforced my drive to create, opening up a new world to conquer.
Some of my recent work contains 3D assets as I look to expand my skillset.
My 3D journey began with a passion for creating and exploring the options available. I work exclusively with Blender.
